Teacher Contemporary Ballet ContemporaryVaiva Paukštė is a dance teacher, professional creator and dance performer. As a teenager, she became interested in street dance, then took the path of contemporary dance; for a while she studied modern dance at the M. K. Čiurlionis National School of Arts. After graduating, Vaiva moved to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, where she graduated with a BA in Dance from the Codarts Academy of Arts in 2021. During her studies, Vaiva felt a great need for additional creative activities, so she presented 13 sketches of her own work at The Performance Bar, an alternative culture space that was open at the time.
After returning to Lithuania, Vaiva decided to follow the path of creativity and education: in 2023, she graduated with a Master’s degree in Theatre Arts and Directing from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (LAMT), and during her studies she created the play “The Dreaming Beauty”, for which she was nominated for the Golden Stage Cross in the category of the Young Artist in 2023. Vaiva is also a part-time lecturer at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre and a trainer for professionals organised by the Contemporary Dance Association.
