DANCE COLONY – the intensive festival where urban dance vocabulary meets performance and contemporary dance. You will have the opportunity to dance and learn from inspiring teachers, artists and choreographers from all over the Europe, that are coming together to share their passion and knowledge with your will to grow in an artsy studio environment, settled in the surroundings of UNESCO-protected nature of Nida, Lithuania.

COLONY Winter Dance Summit is a part of the international European dance network Studiotrade. It is a platform for individuals in dance to discover and be discovered.

I N T E R N A T I O N A L.
Studiotrade, founded in 2010, is a European cooperation network of choreographers, producers and dance organizations from all over the Europe. It enables an international exchange of studio facilities for research, creation and introduction to new markets and contexts for dance artists.
The philosophy of the network is based on trust, fairness, generosity and comprehensive commitment. The networking of the guest artists with the local scene is an essential part of the cultural exchange.
Since 2014, Studiotrade has offered opportunities within the framework of European dance events such as the Festival de Danse de Cannes Côte d’Azur, Euroscene Leipzig, Sharing Across Borders in Cologne, Nice Dance Film Festival and more. Platforms combine choreographic performances and dance film projections that value the work of its members and its new development model.

I N C L U D E D.
• The ability to join Dance C O L O N Y for a whole WEEK (Monday-Sunday) or join for a WEEKEND (Thursday-Sunday);
• Dance workshops taught by international dance and movement professionals;
• Creative Self-management mentoring;
• Gaga dancers and improvisation sessions;
• Contemporary dance sessions;
• Street dance sessions;
• Choreography and Movement research sessions;
• Methods of choreography enabling dancers to work beyond their movement patterns and get out of their comfort zone;
• A Week revolving around dance, your carefully guided dance exploration in search of reunion of your body and mind. You will be able to concentrate on working on your body, mind, and professional development which we agree to call – dance. Exploring our creative capabilities and finding new comrades among the like-minded individuals attending the Dance C O L O N Y;
• Peer to Peer mental exchange session;
• Honest advice along with your career by dance professionals: choreographers, dancers, dance curators and producers;
• Dietary specially planned and curated by a professional chef;
• The Library full of inspiring readings around art and creativity.

F O O D / N U T R I T I O N.
Your diet will be taken care of by a professional chef Dovydas Zenkevicius. A fully balanced diet is provided in the price. Participants of the program will have a chance to learn healthy dieting whilst helping the chef. Dovydas will also give a lecture on how to balance a dancer’s diet, prepare snacks for a heavy training period and much more.

R O O M I N G.
We will dance, eat and live in the Nida art colony: https://nidacolony.lt/house/
Participants will be accommodated in comfortable rooms for 3-5 persons with individual or shared bathrooms. During the duration of the intensive, we will isolate ourselves in multifunctional inspiring rehearsal spaces of 350 sq. meters and more.

P R I C E.
GO FULL: €450 – 7 days (more than 36 hours of material) (Monday – Sunday)
GO WEEKEND: €350 – 4 days (20 hours of material) (Thursday – Sunday)

☞ SAVE SOME:
The price of the Dance Colony will rise from the 20th of January, 2025.
The new price will be FULL WEEK – €500 / WEEKEND – €400.

The prices include: living at Nida Art Colony, healthy food, more than 36 hours of dance classes and workshops, and much more inspiring lectures.
The travel to and from Nida Art Colony is not included in the price. If you need information on how to get there – feel free to contact us.

PAYMENT INFORMATION:
Every registered participant will receive an individual link to the PAYMENT information.
In order to guarantee yourself a spot and fully register, you must pay full price before January 31st, 2025.
