Truth or Dare (2023)

When was the last time you played the game “Truth or Dare”? Interactive dance performance “Truth or Dare” for the whole family.

The creators are eagerly awaiting the audience’s meeting, which will be difficult to forget. In the game, the guests of the performance are invited to obey the system or resist it. The choice is yours. The performers will question the values formed over time through the harmony of movement, music and lights. Everyone will have to admit what shaped their value basis – the shadows of the past or the current issues of the present.

According to the creators, this performance is not so much aimed at reminding everyone about the well-known game of childhood and adolescence, but rather at achieving a result – a person’s choice to choose “courage” as salvation and thus avoid the compromising, uncomfortable truth or choose the “truth”, thus hiding the fear of acting, leaving the comfort zone, perhaps appearing ridiculous. When was the last time in your life that you chose courage to act instead of the open truth, or vice versa?

We invite you to a playful simulation – here we will provide an unlimited number of attempts, the outcome of which will be determined only by the choices of the audience themselves. Will you dare to come to the performance?

Reviews

When the official show time is called, the characters appear on stage and, by pressing the buttons on the electronic music console in the middle of the stage, move according to the given commands. In this way, the viewer is introduced to the rules of the game and is soon involved in carrying out the given commands together with the dancers. One press of a button and a group of people turn right, left, raise a finger up or freeze. This is usually how the crowd is controlled, which easily obeys and tries to carry out the commands as accurately as possible. Some are even allowed to temporarily try on the god's shoes and operate the command console. A woman's voice is heard several times, saying that participation is mandatory, but this does not cause a reaction of resistance or a feeling of negative control. The instructions do not sound strict, but pleasant, respectful. Therefore, I feel like I am on a plane with three flight attendants, whose pleasant and sometimes playful communication leaves no doubt that you must trust them and follow the rules they have set.
