The classes are designed for adults with no previous dance experience. We invite adults aged 40+ to join the dance classes.
sLow Air is a dance practice that focuses on middle-aged and older people. The classes are designed to help participants connect with their bodies, develop creativity, nonverbal communication skills, motor functions, emotional and physical health, and spend time together in the same space and time.
Traveling around the world, we notice that dance unequivocally improves well-being, increases body tone, reduces feelings of loneliness, and breaks down age-related stereotypes. Everyday movements can turn into liberating dance that improves physical and psychological well-being.
During the classes, teacher Laurynas relies on natural body movements, simple forms of movement used in urban and contemporary dance, dance movements, and improvisation. By combining images, metaphors, and the body’s reaction to them, the classes immerse you in the experience of the here and now.
