Every spring, in celebration of International Dance Day, Low Air invites you to go out into the city – to view dance not as a performing art, but as a living practice of movement that responds sensitively to what is happening around us.
Every year, the celebration takes place in a different location in Vilnius – from the squares of the old town to the rapidly changing microdistricts. Here, dance becomes a way to listen to the rhythm of the city, to feel its layers, to discover the connection between the body and the environment. This space allows not only dancers to meet, but also anyone who wants to be a curious observer or participant in the movement.
Dance forms – from breaking to contemporary dance – are revealed not on stage, but between sidewalk tiles, on concrete steps, next to glass facades or wooden fences. The body of the city meets the human body, and dance becomes a bridge between them.
This is not only a celebration, but also an invitation to explore how movement can change our experience of the city. How, through the body and shared presence, we can hear, see, and feel our surroundings in a new way.
