Aura Šriubšaitė

Aura Šriubšaitė is a dance teacher and performer. She began her dance journey 13 years ago at the Low Air Dance School. While learning various street dance styles, she discovered waacking, which interested her with its arm movements, the emotion it conveys, and its elegance. In 2018–2019, she studied contemporary dance at the M. K. Čiurlionis National School of the Arts. Seeking to expand and deepen her knowledge of waacking, she has traveled abroad on numerous occasions to participate in dance battles and workshops:

 At “The Waack Off” event in Germany, in workshops with Chrissy Chou and Archie Burnett;
 At the “All Europe Waacking” festival in France, in workshops with Bagsy and Princess Madoki;
At the “Summer Dance Forever” festival in the Netherlands, in workshops with Boubou and Nubian Nene.

Aura also actively participates in dance battle events in Lithuania, where she has won first place on multiple occasions: at the 2019 events “Funky Soul Connection,” “Vogue mini Ball: Deep in the Jungle,” and “House is Funky,” as well as at the 2022 event “Funky Soul Connection.” Aura is one of the co-authors and dancers in the Vilnius city dance theater Low Air dance performance for (non)teens, “me two / We, the Clique”. Following the premiere of this performance in August 2021, the troupe is currently actively touring the show in cities across Lithuania and abroad, and conducting “We, the Clique” method workshops for young people in the regions. The production team was awarded the Golden Stage Cross for the best 2021 performance for children and youth.

In 2025, Aura graduated from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater (LMTA), where she studied contemporary dance alongside a minor in dance education.

THREE KEY EVENTS:

– In 2017, the Low Air Dance School awarded an educational scholarship to the school’s top student.

– Being a part of “We, the Clique”. The creative process behind the dance performance “me two / We, the Clique” by the Vilnius City Dance Theater Low Air required careful preparation, which deepened and broadened the understanding of movement.

– Dance studies at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater.
