Gabrielle Emily Aidulis

Gabrielle Emily Aidulis is a contemporary and street dance choreographer and teacher. She began dancing ballet at the age of four; later, at the Kaunas Choreography School, she was introduced to jazz and contemporary dance and actively participated in productions at the Kaunas Musical Theater. As a teenager, she finally discovered street dance at Studio “M”, which has remained a part of her life ever since. Gabrielle began her 2015 season dancing at the “Aura” Contemporary Dance Theater, where she worked with the theater’s director, Birutė Letukaitė, as well as with the international choreographer Hygin Delimat.

Seeking to broaden her artistic horizons, she enrolled at ArtEZ University of the Arts in the Netherlands, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in dance and choreography in 2020. During her studies, she completed an internship with Belgian choreographer Ann Van den Broek at her company “WArd/waRD,” where she participated in the creative process and tour of the performance “Memory Loss,” and also danced alongside the Antwerp-based rock band “dEUS.” In 2023, she began collaborating with German choreographer Jonas Frey, co-creating the urban dance performances “Connect!” and “Groove.” Later, continuing her travels in Germany, she joined the tour of the children’s performance “Vater,” created by Célestine Hennermann (former dramaturg for William Forsythe).

After receiving funding from the Netherlands to create her solo piece, Gabrielle presented sketches of the work at several festivals in the Netherlands—including “de Oversteek” in Nijmegen and “Museumnacht010” in Rotterdam. Later, after receiving additional funding from the Lithuanian Council for Culture, she presented this solo piece in Lithuania, co-produced by the “Nuepiko” troupe.

Upon returning to Lithuania, Gabrielle began collaborating with circus artists on interdisciplinary performances directed by Gildas Aleksa; she also continued her collaboration with choreographer Joseph Simon, exploring the interplay between house dance and ballet, and began teaching technique classes at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater (LMTA). She is now delighted to fully join the Low Air team!
