THREE KEY EVENTS:
– Claire Denis’s film “Beau Travail”—the film captivated me with its aesthetics, physicality, poetry, subtle intensity, and emotional weight, as well as the director’s choice to give the viewer ample time and space to experience the work. It was special to recognize elements that I myself value in the art of dance, and it inspired me to explore my own work more boldly.
– Countertechnique is a method I began practicing intensively four years ago, and it has radically transformed my movement, technique, physical health, and approach to the learning process—and ultimately brought me a great deal of joy and enjoyment in professional dance.
– The experiential performance “Kolonija Antika” is a work that, through its creative process and content, has enriched me deeply both as a person and as a performer. Thank you to director Paulius Markevičius.
