Dance ALL IN | dance festival
The Vilnius city dance theater “Low Air” invites audiences to come together, reflect on our similarities and differences, and, thanks to this international festival, watch the five performances of the “Dance ALL IN” program, in which choreographers explore topics and states of mind that matter to them: aging, feminism, inclusion, disability, identity, freedom of expression, youth, innovation, and intergenerational dialogue.
“Dance ALL IN” is a traveling festival platform led by the creators themselves—five dance companies from Finland, Germany, Lithuania, Portugal, and Spain—which, guided by the principles of solidarity and integrity, presents five distinct dance performances across three countries. “Dance ALL IN” focuses primarily on analyzing sensitive, contemporary themes in dance performances, accompanied by various workshops and discussions open to everyone. As the name suggests: everyone is welcome “ALL IN.”

Vienudu / Together Alone (Lithuania)
Performance trailer: https://youtu.be/Lt3X4nOV3mo
The duet by dancers Laurynas Žakevičius and Rokas Šaltenis is constructed as a dialogue with another, though essentially—with oneself. By exploring the movements of breakdancing and their flow, while juxtaposing them with Lithuanian folk dance, the piece seeks to reveal a physical, tangible form for the identity of the male dancer. By becoming mirror images of one another, in today’s world of norms, preconceptions, and stereotypes, they attempt to turn inward once more—toward strength in sensitivity, the sense of self in the other and the other in oneself, and duality.
“Vienudu” is an artistic exploration of the canons of hip-hop dance identity, inviting artists and the audience to explore breakdancing as an art form. The performance offers an opportunity to reflect on the concept of a world without borders, drawing on cultural connections and the migration of art and cultural forms. Here, the Western, masculinist dance form of breakdancing is juxtaposed and linked with the movement codes of Lithuanian folk pair dancing. The artists ask: what kind of men are we, what does this dance tell us when we step onto the stage, and what is it like when participating in competitions, such as the Olympics?

Mabel Revival (Finland)
“Mabel Revival” is a self-ironic synthesis of dance, performance, and cabaret. Choreographer Liisa Pentti, together with musician Robert Kock, transports the audience into the captivating world of divas, beloved icons, and the objects of our desires. Mabel is a woman without mercy, a diva, and a shaman-performer. To enjoy life, one must speak of death and embrace worlds we can only enter in our dreams—thus begins the story of “Mabel Revival.”
Mabel is a celebration of femininity and aging that raises the question of how women in their sixties remain relevant on stage and how they are represented.
The performance explores themes of aging and feminism.

WITH US. Episoe 1 – Karel (67) meets David (27) (Germany)
Performance trailer: https://youtu.be/rc4CyRxpwUE
In the moment of dance and its performance, a direct and physically dominant comparison of forces takes place between these different generations of dancers—a comparison that does not occur often. Thus, in the performance “With Us,” an intergenerational discourse and mutual confrontation emerge, in which the choice of a viewing point or categorization by age, disability, and skin tone becomes a relative act. Themes of preconceptions, privilege, and visuality in this performance are explored not only through movement and narrative but also through political connections.
Themes explored in the performance: disability, aging, inclusion.
The performance will feature one part of the trilogy: Karel (67) meets David (27).

The performers create an unknown place filled with cubes, circles, and spheres. Beings from another planet arrive in this world to interact and play with Earth’s inhabitants. It is a surrealist work in which plastic and visual magic is created through objects, dance, the relationship with technology, and audience participation.
