Waacking – šokio stilius, iki mūsų atkeliavęs iš Funk ir Disco eros naktinių klubų Los Andžele, o išpopuliarėjęs legendinės TV laidos „Soul Train“ pagalba. Pirmieji šokėjai savo judesius kūrė imituodami juodai-baltų filmų žvaigždes (pavyzdžiui, Marilyn Monroe ar Jane Russell), o konkrečiau – stengdamiesi šokiu perteikti to meto rankų judesius, linijas, pozas. Waacking is a dance style that comes straight from the Funk and Disco eras – more precisely, it comes from the nightclubs of Los Angeles and got popularised by the legendary TV show „Soul Train“. The first Waacking dancers were creating moves by imitating black-and-white movie stars (such as Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell) and by trying to put all the hand movements, moves, lines and poses of that particular era into a single dance. When everything is connected to Disco music, Waacking becomes and energetic and energising dance style which transforms into a never-ending whirlwind of fast arm and hand movements, charisma and colourful personalities of the dancers involved.{:}
